My approach

In my designs the content comes first - that is, the texts and images that describe your product/service take precedence over the look. The idea is to create an attractive, clean and easy to navigate design which is built around the essential content. This ensures maximum site usability for the user, and eliminates unnecessary "clutter".

I also believe that direct, open and jargon-free communication with each client is the best way of working on a new website. Getting to know what you do is an essential part of this process.

Web standards

All the websites I create conform to web standards as set out by the World Wide Web Consortium. That has a number of advantages for:

• cross-browser compatiblity - the sites look exactly the same in all major web browsers
• accessibility - making navigation easier for disabled people who use assistive technologies when accessing the web
• search engine optimisation - making sure that the website is search engine friendly
• ease of modification - making it easier and quicker to modify the site later on
